Today's talk features an extraordinary guest, Bjarte Bogsnes, a pioneer in Beyond Budgeting. He has successfully implemented and led the concept of beyond budgeting in various companies. An accomplished author and recipient of multiple awards, Bjarte now runs his own advisory business and is a sought-after keynote speaker and Beyond Budgeting coach.
Bjarte's journey began with a financial education and a significant role at Echinor (formerly Statoil), a leading Scandinavian company. His initial skepticism about traditional budgeting processes led him to Beyond Budgeting, a concept he has refined for nearly three decades. Bjarte's family background in teaching influenced his current path, blending business acumen with educational insights.
Beyond Budgeting challenges conventional management by questioning traditional notions of control and predictability. Bjarte argues that trusting people and acknowledging the unpredictable nature of the future are more realistic and effective approaches.
