The Workshop and Training Schedule

This 2-day workshop provides a practical approach to working agile. Through a series of engaging exercises, participants will gain hands-on experience and learn how to effectively implement agile principles in their work.

Prior to the course, participants will be granted access to the Agile People Campus Learning Management System, where they can explore the course modules. These modules offer a comprehensive overview of the theory and concepts covered in the workshop, allowing participants to prepare beforehand or reflect on the material after the workshop concludes.

The certification fee for your ICP-LEA  is NOT included in the course fee. To get an ICAgile certification, you need to complete the certification tasks, get it approved and after that you can buy the certificate from us.

Detailed Course Description

The Why & What of Leading with Agility

We delve into the evolving dynamics of the modern workplace and the need for a fresh approach to leading and following. We will examine the misalignment that often exists between the perceptions of managers regarding what motivates their teams and the expectations of knowledge workers regarding effective management and leadership. We will explore our own understanding and expectations, focusing on the attitudes, expectations, and tangible behaviours that we aspire to see from agile leaders. Through interactive discussions and activities, we will identify the key attributes and practices that foster agile leadership.

Leadership behaviours that Enable Agility

We explore the three key elements essential for making radical change or transformation. Firstly, we will examine our starting point, current state, and desired destination, enabling us to chart a clear path forward. Next, we will delve into the evolution of leadership theories and their influence on various leadership styles and approaches. By understanding the relevance of different approaches, we can determine what needs to change and what remains pertinent in today’s dynamic landscape.

A crucial aspect of this shift involves comprehending the nature of power and influence. We will explore how the sources and manifestations of power are evolving, reshaping traditional notions. This understanding will equip us to adapt and leverage power in a changing world. Lastly, we will identify and cultivate specific qualities and competencies that foster agility. By honing these attributes, we enhance our ability to navigate uncertainties and complexities, ensuring resilience and success in our leadership journeys.

Getting to know Yourself

Effective leadership begins with cultivating our own self-leadership. By understanding and embracing ourselves, we lay the foundation for understanding and accepting others. In this session, we will embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery, equipping ourselves with the insights and tools to enhance our interactions and lead with authenticity.

We will start by exploring techniques to map and increase our self-awareness, enabling us to gain a deeper understanding of our experiences. By uncovering the underlying reasons for our reactions, we can make conscious choices in our responses and transform how we show up as leaders. Next, we will delve into heuristics and cognitive biases, unravelling their impact on our thinking processes. Through awareness-building exercises, we will learn to recognize and mitigate these biases, enabling us to make more informed and objective decisions.

Lastly, we will address common leadership mind traps, shedding light on the patterns that hinder our growth as leaders. By unlocking these mind traps, we empower ourselves to adopt more effective leadership approaches and inspire positive change.

Developing & Leading Ourselves

Building upon our understanding of self-connection and intentional responses, it is time to apply these insights in practice. In this session, we will delve into the Clear Leadership model, developed by Gervase Bushe, and explore the four selves of a leader: the Aware Self, the Descriptive Self, the Curious Self, and the Appreciative Self. We will familiarize ourselves with the Clear Leadership model and its practical applications. Through interactive exercises, we will learn how to integrate these four selves into various contexts to enhance our leadership effectiveness.

We will explore scenarios where we can utilize the Clear Leadership approach to engage in meaningful check-ins with individuals, provide and receive constructive feedback, adopt a coaching leadership style, and effectively navigate conflicts by fostering interpersonal clarity

Effective Communication

Effective communication is the cornerstone of building strong relationships, fostering healthy interactions, and influencing others. In this session, we will dive deep into the dynamics of effective communication, equipping you with the tools and techniques to communicate with impact. Through the exploration of various mental models, we will uncover the underlying principles that drive effective communication. We will examine the dynamics of productive conversations, gaining insights into how to engage in meaningful and constructive dialogue that leads to positive outcomes.

Additionally, we will unlock the power of storytelling as a persuasive tool. We will explore three types of stories that resonate with audiences and learn to identify narrative patterns that captivate and influence others. As leaders, we will discover how to craft compelling stories that inspire action and drive meaningful change.

FAQ

After training completion, what is the process to become ICAgile Certified?

The certification process entails completing the certification assignment and responding to specific questions after each session. Once your work is finalized and approved, including any feedback provided, you will have the option to purchase your ICAgile certificate from the Agile People shop. It’s important to note that the cost of the ICAgile certificate for your completed assignment is not included in the course fee. Additionally, the certificate download will be made available directly from ICAgile.

As for the Agile People Participation Certificates, they are included in the training price upon successful completion of the course. After the course concludes, you will be able to download your Agile People Participation Certificate from the Agile People website.

Events cancellation policy

If you need to cancel your registration, please send a written notification to [email protected]. Kindly ensure that the subject line of your email includes the name of the conference or event for proper identification.

• We will refund 85% for cancellations received 60 days before the start of the event.
• We will refund 50% for cancellations received between 59 days before 31 days to the event’s start.
• We will refund 25% for cancellations received between 30 days before 15 days to the event’s start.
• We will issue no refund for cancellations received within 15 days of the event.
• You are allowed to send a colleague in your place.

Invoices are payable on 15 days Net, and must in any case be paid before the course starts!
